Day 120: Excellence Equation
Not to be braggy but I diagnosed the washing machine issue before our technician did. We were both talking and looking and I noticed that the left side of the door was up a bit. He opened the door and I pointed out that the hinge was different from the other side.
He’s going to call the parts store tomorrow and get back to me on when he can repair it.
The owner of the Airbnb’s found this gentleman I think through a Google search. He’s been amazing. Having 4 units with multiple appliances in each means things happen. He always answers immediately. Even if he can’t help (one time he was out of town). But he shows up within 24 hours and follows up.
Working with people like that is amazing.
I asked how business was and he said good. Busy. I said that’s good because staying busy keeps us out of trouble. He said, “if you’re busy making money you’re not busy spending money.”. True, true.
Before meeting him I recorded a reel about my audacious acts. All things that I have shared here. Except I didn’t share here that this morning I participated in a balance class by my personal trainer friend. She’s so good. I met her during little league. She helped my son so much with his running. I’ve never met someone who cares so passionately about peoples form as she does. She was picking up on things everyone in the class was doing. All through a tiny zoom screen. I couldn’t see Jack! I’m sure she has a bigger screen than my baby laptop that I was tuned in on.
Doesn’t being around excellence inspire you?
At one point it intimidated me. Not any more. It’s nice to see people care.
