Day 139: Scheduling, Batching, Forecasting, Organizing
We’ve been in foundation building and launch mode for so long that I forgot the luxury of batching and scheduling.
I can thank the repeat client that I started working with again last week for this timely reminder. One of my tasks was to create and schedule content for February for their client. I thought, “Why aren’t I doing this for myself?”.
Which resulted in a couple hours spent last night devising a calendar for Activating Audacity. I will be legit launching it to start April 1. Instead of my wild hair up my butt launch that I did a few weeks ago, this will have a runway. And it’s pretty damn good if I must say so myself.
This blog didn’t make it into the content calendar because I like these entries to be based on whatever the mood, or message I receive that day, is.
But business content and marketing… that can 100% be strategized and plotted out. And it should be. Especially when I have my hands in a lot of different accounts right now. If I don’t spend the time forecasting and actually scheduling, things will get dropped.
And what will get dropped first?
My business. Because I don’t pay me! And that’s only because I don’t make me money.
The Solopreneur CEO brand is going well but I don’t really batch content for that because it’s dependent on the recordings. And we usually record the weekend before it goes live. I believe that will be the case for the next few.
We are planning to record an episode following the 40 over 40 gala next week. So exciting! I can’t wait to see the magazine. What a fun experience that whole situation was.
And with my new “personal” focus on launching the Activating Audacity group program I’ll be able to incorporate more of those professional portraits. Which was totally an act of audacity. Participating in a campaign focused on celebrating ourselves and commemorated In a magazine. It was definitely an unlocking moment that has lead to a lot of clarity!
