Day 145: Pod Update

My eyes are tired from the space heater drying them out.

Carin and I recorded episode 7 this morning and I went right into editing it. Prior to recording we strategized some more around our free community, paid membership, and lead magnets. Something about that strategizing made our recording super fun. We have the explicit marker because there were quite a few cuss words. What can I say, we’re passionate.

From editing I went to the kids championship game, which they won! Wahoo. Then the grocery store, made ziti again (they’re obsessed) and have been editing the pod transcript to make it blog worthy since. i’m on page 4 of 7. Ugh. Turning conversation into a readable entry isn’t the easiest. We could feed it to Chat but I prefer it this way.

Today’s recording was great and I think will be helpful.

I talked about a firsthand systems error experience with one of the programs I’m in and then a few hours later saw an Instagram post from the founder talking about system gaps when she was trying to buy something online. It’s definitely in the air. I’ll be making sure once Activating Audacity is ready to go that it’s a seamless and easy process. I think that the people who will sign up for that will be forgiving if it isn’t perfect because they will have been hot leads. But, I’m not leaving it to chance. Plus, I’m kind of over my bobo era. I’m not interested in being scrappy anymore. I’m interested in being sophisticated. That’s what I want to emulate. Sophisticated sass though. Put that on a shirt.

I also need to get some opt-ins up and streamline the newsletter. I’ll be switching it from Marketing & Mindset x Marcia to something else more aligned with the new path. It hasn’t come to me yet but I know it needs to be different. Less about marketing. Or not at all about marketing.

I’m going to be sending them out biweekly instead of once a month too. I just need to figure out the real value of the newsletter. The theme and the benefit to the reader.

We’ll see!

Although I have a lot of clarity, I still have a lot of uncertainty.

But action will be the answer to all the questions I have. :) Always has been, always will be. Ok, back to the damn pod blog!
