Day 25: Pause for Grace

I spent over an hour editing the workshop for Tuesday’s podcast and the software crashed.

About a quarter of the time was spent trying to figure out why I couldn’t open the software. The file was too large. I deleted a bunch of the old files. That enabled me to edit and then it froze again and ultimately crashed. I compressed the file size to prevent it from crashing when I got in to edit it again and heard lots of feedback.

Such a frustrating experience.

My boys both have homecoming this evening and I’m pretty fried from the anxiety leading up to that. Especially since the freshman played in a tournament in Pennsylvania so was gone last night and not getting back til tonight.

Instead of continuing to try to force it, I decided to work on it tomorrow.

It was a kind thing to do for myself since I needed to iron/steam shirts and basically spin out.

Annoyed to have lost the work but glad I paused the project instead of letting it make me even more tense when I’m dealing with all the nerves about homecoming.
