Day 30: Unmasked Solidarity

A couple months ago when Carin and I decided to launch the Success Secret Society she mentioned in the podcast that the space wouldn’t be performative.

I nodded my head and thought, “Yea, it wont be.”.

Those words sat with me.

When I edited the podcast and when I listened to the episode once it was published the word continued to have weight to it.

Performative.

“The society members wont be performative.”

I started to think about how performative I am and in what ways.

Online. At networking events. With friends. In public. With the birth family.

Performative.

Masks.

Insecurity cloaked behind ego.

I can confirm that our members haven’t been performative. And neither have Carin or I.

We’ve shown up without our egos.

There have been celebrations of big things and little things. Members have shared what is working in life/business and what isn’t.

Nothing has been braggy or self-deprecating.

Each of us goes into these meetings with the sole purpose of supporting and being supported. Members aren’t afraid to ask for feedback or guidance. And they also can confidently state that they just want to vent.

It’s a magical time and I am loving being a part of a growing community that is exactly what it needs to be for each and every member. A space to: just be.

If you’re a solopreneur who is used to doing it all on your own, check us out to see if joining might be a good fit!
