Day 85: Good Creative Day

As directed I’m weaning off dairy to help with the Hashimoto’s. I had it yesterday. A gluten free pizza from dominos after the proclamation. It had cheese and black olives.

Did you know dairy withdrawal is as bad as cocaine withdrawal? That fact was in a book I read when I went vegan in my mid 20’s. Having gone off dairy a few times before I can confirm those findings.

Not having my morning cottage cheese is annoying. I’ve been opting for Ezekiel bread with Earth Balance “butter” and raspberry jam. It works.

Today has been full of downloads. Things to write about. Content strategy. Connections I can make. It’s likely too soon to be a contribution from the diet change. I am a couple days after my cycle which was 15 days late! And haven’t had gluten since the party Saturday. I think that’s the only time I cheated with that. It was ravioli in white sauce from Maggianos and worth the joint pain after. Now that I’m learning more about Hashimoto’s I’ll probably stop cheating.

Remember, 100% is easier than 98%.

Earlier today I published a reel and carousel about the obligations and perks of being a podcast launch team member.

I decided I wasn’t going to keep pushing the launch team on the main feed. We need to start providing value now. It’s only been 3 posts but selling from the get by trying to have people join the launch team is like the Black Friday Cyber Monday conundrum.

I remembered what I said yesterday… “What’s in it for them?”.

The question was directed to our new followers (and potential followers).

What’s in it for them to follow us?

So I sent dm’s to the followers thanking them for following along and asked if there is anything currently bothering them in business.

Our brand is about support, community, and strategy. That DM right there nails all three. We’re showing support by asking what they are currently experiencing, the community aspect is from being welcomed and seen, and the strategy…that will come when we address whatever they respond with.

Glad I’m taking my own advice. Smart!
