Day 112: I’ve Been Phoning it In

Ok, today was launch day and I know without a doubt that I’ve been literally doing the least with this blog. Instead of writing original posts for you I’ve been sharing what I’ve been doing. It might be a coping mechanism because Stacy passed yesterday morning and I‘m trying to compartmentalize.

Or, its my intuition telling me to conserve energy. Regardless of what it is, I should be back to original content in the coming days. Just give me some time to adjust to this huge undertaking we took that is off to a PHENOMENAL start!

Here’s the intro that I shared in our free community that launched today:

Literally so excited to be here and beyond grateful that I have a partner, @Carin Kilby Clark, who is all about discovering all the cool things in the digital world.

I became an entrepreneur in 2012 or 2013 with a product based business after being laid off while pregnant with my second son. The jobs I'd had up until then wouldn't have funded daycare for 2 boys under 2 so I became a SAHM. That was actually my dream growing up. To be a wife and mom.

Then I fell into entrepreneurship and the rest is herstory! That first product based business introduced me to so many other mom entrepreneurs and I recognized that there was a common thread of them doing everything for their families, their businesses, their communities but NOT themselves. So, I started a society for them. It was beautiful and so fulfilling for the 4 years I ran it. I loved it and learned a lot but built it for who I was then. My needs and wants changed and I learned very thoroughly about boundaries, accessibility, money trauma, and a whole slew more.

In 2022 I returned to full time work and lasted 2 positions (one in a VP role) for 2.5 years. It was NOT a good fit.

During spring break 2024 while my husband and boys were away and I was tied to my full time desk, I created NOVA Business Agency. It was set up in less than 2 nights. I ended my role with a luxury builder that June and haven't looked back since.

Community building, encouraging the women who do it all to prioritize themselves, and assisting with marketing/branding/ops for small business/np's/Solopreneurs is what lights me up.

Excited to be here and can't wait to grow alongside you all!
