Day 136: AI in Business, But Not All of It
I scraped my IG posts for the past 11 years. Brings up a lot of emotion. Scraping is copying and pasting all of the copy I’ve written so Carin can feed it into our ChatGPT. That way we can train an AI copywriter to sound like us. I shared a story that I was doing it and someone asked me why.
That’s what I told them. I assured them it would just be for the Solopreneur CEO content.
Does it matter though? To them?
I mean, it does to me. I will keep this channel pure and free from AI. As mentioned in the past, I use AI to help with executive functioning like providing a process and timeline for projects but that’s more on the NOVA Business Agency side of things, not writing and mentoring.
Of course I have trepidation about AI but with what I’m doing on all the social channels, I feel like that’s already been done right? Anyone can access it and feed it into an AI bot.
And when it comes to our partnership, which is extremely time constrained, we have to use tools to make things streamlined and efficient.
I just saw on LinkedIn, while scraping, from one of my HR & Organization Consults that Amazon just laid off 30,000 people and are making a $100B+ investment into AI. Now that is some shit!
Carin and I both believe that there is a way to stay super lean, do things on your own, and also create systems that are repeatable which capitalize on your energy. Being a solopreneur is extremely empowering but being a burnt out business owner that has to return to a job … it’s not great. Scraping all those IG captions made me realize a lot about what I was running, how I was running it, where the cracks started, and what pushed me over the edge.
I don’t want that for anyone. Especially not me again. So, I will do things different. And we will succeed. But I will do it in my way that also allows me to stay true to the purity of writing and expressing myself. We’ll see how it goes!
