Day 54: The Untethered Soul

Mind. Blown.

Have you read “The Untethered Soul” by Michael A. Singer?

Prior to embarking on a 4.5 hour car ride I scrolled through my Audible wishlist. This book jumped out because there is a horse on the cover and horses keep appearing for me.

The book is SO good.

It’s similar to Eckhart Tolle’s “The Power of Now” but more logical and easier to grasp.

I read “The Power of Now” in my mid 30’s and it changed my life. When thinking about it while listening to today’s audio I realized the silence likely started to disappear from my life (reference Day 33: Am I Addicted to Noise *Audio included) when Tolle’s teachings faded from my mind.

That was the first book I ever reread immediately after finishing. The concepts were so dense.

This book is different. The idea is the same, being governed by your thoughts leads to neurosis, but Singer breaks it down in a way that a monkey could understand. It’s remarkable and I highly recommend it!
