Day 94: Dreaming and Deciding
I got 3 women to commit to the 40 / 40! Elle had to message me and tell me she reached her capacity! I love influencing people into doing something amazing, and out of the ordinary, for themselves.
Elle sent over the copy for the magazine spread and asked if it was ok. Seeing it in that format made it a little more real. I liked the summation at the top that she wrote about me. I may make some tweaks :)
I’ve been spending some time on Threads. I think that’s going to be a good space for the podcast. Getting guests and also guesting on other peoples pods. I saw one request for something I could do and sent a DM to the Podcaster.
My goal for Q1 in the workshop we hosted for our members on December 12 was to get on 3 podcasts. And to also get 3 interviews confirmed.
My dream guests are:
Jenna Harding from Magic Marketing Machine. She is a quirky Canadian who gives IG strategy to grow. I’ve been a member in her program since October of last year. I love her and find her personality and the way she teaches to be so wonderful. I think she’ll say yes because I see her on threads a lot offering to guest on people’s pods.
Amanda Boleyn from Simplify with Amanda B. I went to a summit she held in Chicago back in 2019. That’s actually how I met our only non-local Success Secret Society member! She’s a mom to a toddler now but back then was just doing her thing. She does STR, corporate trainings, and her own programs. She was on my solo podcast many years ago so I think she would say yes.
Denise Duffield Thomas of Denise DT, and Get Rich Lucky Bitch. She’s a stretch goal. She’s an Australian and gives out some of the BEST advice for being an online business owner. She’s all about money trauma and encouraging women entrepreneurs to get theirs. I’ve read all of her books and tune in frequently to her podcast. She’s remarkable. A real girls girl. Not sure of the likelihood of getting her to be on but a girl can dream.
Have I mentioned how excited I am that with the rebrand Carin and I don’t feel obligated to both be in each episode? I mean, I know that was never the case. That we HAD to just have our convos. But now… we can bring people in and have juicy convos on their expertise.
I think I also mentioned that Carin is planning to have the transcript added to our website, which will serve as an SEO tool. I mean, that’s so good right? I’m so excited for what we know now and how we can optimize everything.
Of course there is still the bull shit nagging, “you’re going to fail”, “this is going to be another strong start and flop”, “up to your normal antics Marsh”.
TBH, I do kind of have a modus operandi… God I love the start up. The foundation building and the drop dead date. The very clear goals and the launch and the ideation and creation.
This time will be different right? We’re bringing 8+ years of experience to this new launch. We know our niche.
I think I told you that in one of our last few episodes I said to Carin right before we hit record (we usually end up talking for like an hour before we record) that we should do a visualization practice of who was tuning in to the pod.
I said, “It’s probably early morning. She just got the house to herself and she’s on her walking pad.”
Carin chimed in, “Yea, she’s listening to us while on the walking pad and going through her calendar events. She’s tuned into what we are saying while moving things around to prioritize her time better.”.
Man, visualization works. I get that image in my head all the time. And it’s legit too.
When I was regularly on my walking pad I would listen to my Chill & Prosper with Denise Duffield Thomas episodes. It would be in the evening and I’d be going at a stupid fast pace. I did that for a few weeks and found it beneficial but fell off the pad one too many times.
I recently found out my girl Amanda Boleyn goes at like a 1 mile per hour speed which allows her to work while she walks. Which sounds so much smarter than whatever the hell it was that I was doing. Anywho, Amanda Boleyn is who we were talking to. Her getting her steps in, listening to us, and moving things around.
This time will be different. Everything has been leading to this moment in time. Get into it!
