Day 168: BOLD
I came up with my methodology today! In two minutes. But was it 2 minutes or was it the 6+ weeks of extreme focus? Or maybe the 6 years prior that I’ve been doing this work without knowing I was building up to this moment?
Lemme set the scene:
All morning I was working on our Solopreneur CEO Summit. Organizing, Responding. Brainstorming. Compiling. Etc.
I’d been putting this off because I really dislike our platform. It’s efficient and houses everything in one place but there are A LOT of bells and whistles and tabs and whoosy whatsits that freak me out. Seriously, it’s a great system, it just overwhelms my brain.
So I put off the organization portion for an obnoxious amount of time. Now we are in a situation where we have to bend time to ensure we do what we set out to accomplish. ADHD hyper focus powers unite!
Scene prior to this morning:
Sunday morning, before we recorded today’s podcast episode, I said to Carin, “you and I should both do presentations for the summit.”. She said (paraphrasing because of my spicy brain) “yea, our presentation can lead into the society.”. I said, “no, we can record our own presentation that leads to our individual offers.”.
Now that I’m looking back on it I’m concerned about diluting the mission of the summit. Our primary goal was to build our list. In order to attend the summit, registrants have to join our free online community. That was the goal. Now, if we are throwing our presentations in... does that impede the goal.
No. (this is me problem solving in real time with you as a witness).
Once people are registered and in the community they get to elect what parts of the summit they want to participate in.
Carin and I are both teaching subjects that can be very beneficial to attendees.
Regardless of if the attendees attend or not, they will still be in the community. Which was the goal.
And I highly doubt someone is going to join, attend some of the sessions, be like “wtf are the coordinators doing presenting… I’m so grossed out I HAVE to leave this community NOW.”.
Should anyone decide to do that, that’s completely acceptable.
Life is such a huge learning and unlearning. In business, we want to cast a wide net and get in front of a large quantity of people. But in the grand scheme of things, if we were talking to a group of 12 people that connected with what we were teaching, and had their lives transformed… how f’ing cool would that be.
To majorly improve the lives of a dozen people?! Come on! That’s amazing.
Ok, back to my methodology. I’m going to spill the beans to you. And only you. Well, until I record my presentation for the summit. Then, it will be with them too. But for now: you’re it!
Here it is: we know that to be audacious is to be bold. That. Is. My. Method.
Be Bold.
BOLD
B is for boundaries.
O is for options.
L is for lightning.
D is for delegating.
My plan is to create the presentation for the summit on this methodology and then host webinars as a lead magnet to the Activating Audacity group program. I will also present it to my members community. And pitch it to a couple women’s groups I’ve targeted.
Stay tuned!
