Day 40: Upgrades for Everything!

Look at me, doing what I said I was going to do.

Carin and I recorded episode 27 and 28 this morning and I’ve edited and submitted 27 and am halfway done with 28.

Both episodes are really flipping good. And the parts where my brain legit stopped: got edited out. Hahahaha. Drunk with editing power.

God bless Carin though. She is legit listening to what I say when we are recording and when I completely go blank, she’s able to recall what was being said so I can get the train back on the tracks.

If, and when, we start recording for YouTube…it’s going to be something else.

I can tell that both her and I are working on our cadence. There are still filler words a plenty but I think when video accompanies it will be less noticeable. Especially since our filler words tend to be “Right?” and “You Know?”. Which would then warrant a nod. Making them less filler words.

Did I tell you an entry or two ago that we are making some changes? I think I did. Or at least eluded to it.

This direction and the clarity from it has unlocked so much for me.

Earlier when brainstorming what I would write to you about I thought about the quote in business “There is no magic bullet.”. Which I wholeheartedly believe.

But this thing we are working on has created so much less friction. Friction that we couldn’t quite figure out until we had a conversation about feeling held back.

This thing we’re working on 100% isn’t a magic bullet…. but it feels like surgery was done on a clogged artery. A stint has been added and now blood and oxygen are flowing.

There will be some recovery time after the surgery but we will be getting on with things much easier.

Upgrading the editing software happened at such a synchronistic time too.
