Day 78: Podcast Progress

We had our monthly hot seat call today for the Success Secret Society. Those meetings are the best because we always get into both mindset and marketing. At first we didn’t think anyone was going to join us so Carin and I started to record a message for our members. Then one popped on and we talked about closing out the year in a way that strategically leads into January’s offer. I love that our community is providing solopreneurs with a safe community to show up, process and get feedback.

Carin and I were also able to talk about creating a launch team for the new podcast. We came up with a couple of perks of being on the team and chatted about expectations of what the team can do to help. So fun!

I’ll be creating the bulk of that while Carin gets the website and online community set up.

It’s good that her and I both have such different skill sets and interest levels.

Like, I can build out a website or online community…. buuuuut, does it bring me joy? Carin actually loves stuff like that. Probably because there’s no friction and she gets results fast. Whereas for me, I can get it done but there will be friction and the results will take longer. She’s got a good aesthetic too which is very helpful.

Since I’ve created swipe files for the past Connector Conferences, I know exactly what is needed for the launch team because it’ll be modeled similarly.

I also need to wrap my head around the schedule for pitching guests plus getting myself on others podcasts. We will be hosting a virtual summit in March and I want to use the angle of some of the potential presenters having me on their pods, where applicable.

I still need to map out the content strategy. We are going to be focusing on both Instagram and LinkedIn so messaging and visuals will need to be a bit different. But both of those channels will be good for lead gen. Plus, Carin said that SEO from LinkedIn rates well so there’s an added benefit to focusing there.

We both commented today about how everything is flowing again. Feels so good!
